Clacton Archers welcome new members!

People of almost any age and physical ability can enjoy archery and we are very happy to accept new members who have completed an approved archery beginner’s course.

Clacton Archers run beginner’s courses at regular intervals throughout the year, with all courses being run in accordance with Archery GB requirements and guidelines.

The beginner’s course is designed to teach the basic skills of archery in a friendly and enjoyable way and at the end of the course you will have been taught the essential safety requirements to protect yourself, and others, from harm.

After finishing the course you should be able to shoot a recurve bow with reasonable confidence and skill. You will also have been introduced to other types of bow; traditional longbow, compound bow and others.
